  • STEP 7 V5.4 SP5 or higher

  • You need the drivers of the PROFIBUS USB adapter to be able to use the CP5711 in STEP 7 MicroWin. The drivers are supplied with the SIMATIC NET PC Software Edition 2008 SP1 and later. Install the SIMATIC NET PC software. This is included in the delivery package of the CP5711.

1 Insert the SIMATIC NET CD in your computer's CD or DVD drive.
2 Wait for the following dialog.

If this dialog does not appear after a certain time (approx. 30s), then your computer's Autostart function is not enabled. In this case, start the "Setup.exe" program in the main directory of the SIMATIC NET CD.

3 Follow the installation instructions.
4 Select the "SIMATIC NET PC Software 2008" product for installation.

5 Skip the "Install License Key" dialog.
6 Complete the installation of the SIMATIC NET PC software.

After successfully completing the installation of the SIMATIC NET PC software, install the CP5711. This is then available in STEP 7 MicroWin.

Further steps are required to parameterize an S7-200 CPU via the integrated PPI interface.
