DESCRIPTION:

The Hardware Upgrade Package (HUP) which you can download via the link at the end of this bulletin enables you to replace the following 80 mm wide failsafe modules that are due for product discontinuation / product phaseout:

  • Analog input module SM 336, F-AI  6 x 4 ... 20 mA (13 Bits + sign),  order no. 6ES7 336-1HE00-0AB0
  • Digital output module SM 326, F-DO 10 x 24 V DC/2 A, P/P-switching, order no. 6ES7 326-2BF01-0AB0

by these 40 mm wide follow-up types:

  • Analog input module SM 336, F-AI HART 6 x 0/4 ... 20 mA (15 Bits + sign), order no. 6ES7 336-4GE00-0AB0
  • Digital output module SM 326, F-DO 10 x 24 V DC/2 A, P/P-switching, order no. 6ES7 326-2BF10-0AB0

The digital output module SM 326, F-DO 10 x 24 V DC/2 A, order no. 6ES7 326-2BF10-0AB0, is herewith also released for use with SIMATIC PCS 7 V7.0 + SP2 and SIMATIC PCS 7 V7.0 + SP3.

Requirements for the installation of the HUP

  • SIMATIC PCS 7 V7.0 + SP2 or SIMATIC PCS 7 V7.0 + SP3
  • S7 F Systems V6.0 and higher with S7 F Systems Lib V1.3
  • S7 F CONFIGURATIONPACK (S7FPROJ) V5.5 + SP6 and higher and HF1

In addition to the information in the user documentation for the two failsafe modules (User Manual and Product Information) please also note that the digital output module SM 326, F-DO 10 x 24 V DC/2 A, order no. 6ES7 336-4GE00-0AB0, has only been released for use in ET 200M remote I/O stations with IM 153-2 High Feature interface module, order no. 6ES7 153-2BA02-0XB0.

If a MTA module is connected to the 40-pole front connector of the analog input module SM 336, F-AI 6 x 4 ... 20 mA, order no. 6ES7 336-4HE00-0AB0, the connecting cable between module and MTA must also be replaced if the module is replaced against a SM 336, F-AI HART 6 x 0/4 ... 20 mA, order no. 6ES7 336-4GE00-0AB0 (20-pole front connector) (for order no. of the connecting cable see entry ID: 29289048).

Notes concerning the HUP:

After the installation of the HUP the configurable replacement modules will be located in the Hardware Catalog in the folder: "ET 200M Replacement Modules" of the profile: "F-Replacement Modules K5.5.6.1". The order no.'s of the modules in the folder "ET 200M-Replacement Modules" are those of the 40 mm wide modules:

  • 6ES7 336-4GE00-0AB0 (SM 336, F-AI HART 6 x 0/4 ... 20 mA)
  • 6ES7 326-2BF10-0AB0 (SM 326, F-DO 10 x 24 V DC/2 A)

If the HUP has been installed already, it must be installed again after upgrading from SIMATIC PCS 7 V7.0 + SP2 to V7.0 + SP3. This will update the module filter.

How to replace a module:

If you wish to replace a 80 mm wide module by a 40 mm wide module, you additionally require a spacekeeper module DM 370, order no. 6ES7 370-0AA01-0AA0

To replace 80 mm wide modules against the 40 mm wide follow-up modules, please proceed as follows:

  1. Remove the 80 mm module from the rack (note the I/O addresses and the F address set on the DIP switches for the new module)
  2. Connect the new 40 mm module to the spacekeeper module DM 370 (6ES7 370-0AA01-0AA0) via the "bus connector" on the rear side of the module
  3. Insert the new module and the spacekeeper module into the rack (please ensure that the address switch of the spacekeeper module is set to "NA".
  4. Delete the existing 80 mm module configured in the ET 200M remote I/O station in HW-Config
  5. Enter the new 40 mm module (SM 336, F-AI HART 6 x 0/4 ... 20 mA or SM 326, F-DO 10 x 24 V DC/2 A from the HUP in place of the deleted module (for filing place of the HUP modules in the Hardware Catalog see above under "Notes concerning the HUP")
  6. Configure the newly introduced module in HW-Config (take over the I/O addresses and the F address set on the DIP switches from the predecessor module)
  7. Compile HW-Config (the new module will result in new CRCs, which have an effect on the CRC of the safety program!)
  8. Upload the compiled hardware to the AS
  9. Compile the program and upload the changes to the AS

Replacement in running operation:

A replacement with the system running is only possible in redundant automation systems with HCIR support.

Starting from redundant operation of the H system the following sequence should be adhered to:

  1. Delete the previously configured module (80 mm width) from the ET 200M remote I/O station in HW-Config
  2. Compile HW-Config and upload the change in RUN to the AS
  3. Remove the module to be replaced (80 mm width) from the rack
  4. Connect the new 40 mm module to the spacekeeper module DM 370 (6ES7 370-0AA01-0AA0) via the "bus connector" on the rear side of the module
  6. Newly configure the inserted module
  7. Compile HW-Config and upload in RUN
  8. Compilation and AS uploading of the program changes in RUN

HUP to be able to use the 6ES7 336-4GE00-0AB0 and 6ES7 326-2BF10-0AB0 modules in SIMATIC PCS 7 V7.0 + SP2/SP3
